The Virginian Pilot Thursday April 11, 1957
SOUTH NORFOLK - Miss Mary Alice Mizell, 75, died yesterday at 8:20 a.m. at 
the residence, 602 Liberty St., after a long illness.
She was a native of Bertie County and had lived in South Norfolk the last 57 
years.  She was a daughter of Joseph Aaron and Mrs. Willie Myers Mizell.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. S.M. Lean of Atlantic City, N.J.; Miss 
Zora Mizell of South Norfolk and Mrs. H.W. McGrath of Norfolk; two brothers, 
Allen B. Mizell of South Norfolk and W.K. Mizell of Martinsville, and 
several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, where services will 
be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m.  Burial will be in the family plot in 
Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
