Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 30, 1935

Mrs. Willie Jane Mizzell, 73, died at her residence, 602 Liberty Street, 
South Norfolk, last night at 6 o'clock after an illness of about three 
weeks.
She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mrs. Katherine Cowan Myers and 
was a native of Bertie County, N.C. and had lived in this section for about 
37 years.  She was a member of Rosser Methodist Church, Bertie County.
Besides her husband, Joseph Aaron Mizell, she is survived by five daughters, 
Miss Alice Mizell, Mrs. George H. Burton, Mrs. F.M. Lean, Miss Zora Mizell 
and Mrs. H.W. McGrath; three sons, J.F., A.B. and W.K. Mizell; eight 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of this section.
Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
