Malloy, which occurred at the Dr. Gwathmey's sanitarium, in Norfolk, Sunday morning, was unexpected and has cast a gloom over the community. Miss Malloy was 56 years old and had enjoyed the best of health until a few days ago, when she became suddenly ill and was taken to Norfolk last Tuesday for treatment. Miss Malloy was a sister of Mrs. W.P Tilley, the late Dr. Malloy and Mrs. Near, of Baltimore, and had other relatives in the town. The funeral was conducted from the residence of Mr. Wm. P. Tilley yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Norfolk, after which her remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery. There were many handsome floral tributes. The following were the pall-bearers: George Simpson, W.B. Dougherty, H.I. Wicks, George G. Martin, J.M. Berkley, W.L. Berkley, S.W. Lyons and Charles Gibbs.
