Josephine Elizabeth Penello Mollura, 91, of the 1600 block of Cougar Avenue, died 
May 2, 1994, in a Norfolk Hospital.

Mrs. Mollura was a native of Norfolk and a lifelong resident. She was the widow of 
Anthony Mollura. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Norfolk; 
Christ Child Society; Ladies Auxiliary of Tidewater Post 4809, VFW; and the 60 
Plus Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret A. Murphy of Chesapeake; three sons, John 
A. Mollura, Frank W. Mollura and Vincent J. Mollura, all of Norfolk; a sister, 
Catherine Ellison of Oxnard, Calif.; a brother, John A. Penello of Severna Park, 
Md.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-
grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in St. Pius X 
Roman Catholic Church by the Rev. Michael Duffy and the Rev. Joseph Metzger. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held in 
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, at 7 p.m. Thursday. Friends of the family are 
invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Roman Catholic 
Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
