Virginian-Pilot March 27 & 28, 1924
Miss Mary Moloney, aged 89 years, died last night at 11 o’clock at the residence 
of her nephew, Walter S. Buchanan, 32 Earl Court, Chesterfield Heights, after a 
long illness. She was a native of County Wexford, Ireland, but had lived in 
Norfolk for the past 74 years. She was well known here and had a large number of 
friends. Miss Moloney is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Walter S. Buchanan, 
Norfolk, and Miss Mary Moloney, Portsmouth, and five nephews, James E. Galvin, 
of Norfolk, and Andrew, John, Edward and James Moloney, all of New York. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.

Miss Mary Moloney – Funeral services for Miss Moloney will be conducted tomorrow 
morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
