Virginian-Pilot November 2 & 4, 1886
On Sunday afternoon, Miss Johanna A. Maloney died at the residence of her parents 
on London street, after a lingering illness of consumption.

The funeral of Miss Johannah A. Moloney took place from St. Paul’s Catholic Church 
yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock and was largely attended by relatives and 
friends. The solemn services were conducted by Rev. Father Brady, assisted by 
Father Hanley, after which the remains were borne over to the Norfolk cemetery for 
interment. The procession was so large that three trips were made before the last 
of it went over.
