Norfolk Journal and Guide, Dec. 26, 1942
Funeral services for James Monroe, 1014 Goff street, who died in the Veteran’s
Administration Hospital in Kecoughtan VA, December 17, were held at the Bank
Street Baptist Church, December 20.  The Rev. E. E. Chappelle officiated. 
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  B. F. King was in charge of arrangements.
