Virginian-Pilot September 3, 1902
Mr. Frank Montagna died at his residence, corner of Chapel and Cove streets at 
6:45 o’clock a.m. yesterday at the advanced age of 74 years. He is survived by two 
grown sons. The deceased was a retired barber and was an Italian by birth. His 
funeral was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, 
and was attended by the Italian Beneficial society, the music being furnished by 
the Franklin band. The interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.
