Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 17, 1994 
Sarah M. Montgomery of the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, a retired
domestic after 40 years, died April 14, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Montgomery was born in Norfolk, a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witness. She was the widow of Earl Montgomery.

Survivors include four daughters, Vera Dobbins of Mississippi, Marion Vango of
Norfolk, Vernice Midgette and Mildred Wells, both of Chesapeake; three sons,
Raymond Eggleston, Harvey Eggleston and Floyd Eggleston, all of Norfolk; 30
grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces
and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Ellen Corprew Gidden and John Gidden.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witness, 959 Ingleside Road, by Brother Willie Joyner. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her daughter's home, 4114 Leyte
Ave., Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
