Norfolk - Mrs. Martha Ashby Moody, 57, died at her residence, 961 Reservoir Ave., 
Monday after a long illness.

She was a former teacher in the Norfolk Public School System, but had been in 
retirement for several years due to ill health.

The body was removed to the Grace Funeral Home from which it will be taken on 
Thursday to St. John’s AME Church for funeral services at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. R. 
Johnson, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
