Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, June 27, 1992 
Bishop William M. Moore of the 2800 block of E. Princess Anne Road, founder and
pastor of Holy Church of Christ Disciples in Norfolk for 53 years, died June 24,
1992.

Bishop Moore was born in Kinston, N.C. He had been in other churches in the
apostolic movement in New York, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.

Survivors include his wife, Eldress Estelle D. Moore; two daughters, Mandy N.
Cannon and Annie R. Moore, both of Norfolk; a son, Elder William E. Moore of
Virginia Beach; a sister, Mable Jones of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren; and 22
great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Bibleway Holiness Church,
Chesapeake, by Bishop William J. Faison. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A
wake will be held Sunday evening in Hale Funeral Home. The family will assemble
at the residence.
