Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 16, 1949

Charles Moore, 78, son of the late Morris and Mrs. Maggie Ramsey Moore, died at 
a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 6:25 p.m. A native of Virginia, he had resided 
in Norfolk 40 years, at 1023 East Olney Road at the time of his death.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Wheeler, Mrs. Madeline Jarvis, Mrs. 
Margaret Adams and Mrs. G.W. Jennings, all of Norfolk and Mrs. Eva LaFoon, of 
Richmond; six sons, Leonard, John, Guy, James and Lee C. Moore, all of Norfolk; 
29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Shelby, 
of Washington, D.C.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments Sunday at 8 
p.m.
