Virginian Pilot June 18, 1909

Mrs. Rebecca Brickhouse Moore, wife of E.W. Moore, died at her home, 108 North 
Maltby Avenue, at 5:45 o'clock a.m. yesterday, after five months' illness, in 
the 47th year of her age. The deceased was formerly of Portsmouth but has been 
for fifteen years a resident of Norfolk. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. 
Fannie Willis, Misses Sarah, Ellen, Lula (Ursula) and Margaret Moore and Messrs. 
Joseph and Eddie Moore, all of Norfolk. The funeral will be held from her late 
residence at 4 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. V.R. Gaston 
of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church and Rev. Dr. E..B. McCluer of Richmond, a 
former pastor of that church.
