"Moose" Moore Jr., 74, of the 1300 block of Milton St., died Oct. 10, 1998 in a local hospital. A native of Norfolk and an Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Moore was the widower of Georgia "Libby" Moore. He owned and operated A.G. Moore and Co. Inc. for 43 years and was a Roman Catholic. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was a member of the Norfolk Boat Club and Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Moore Frey and her husband, Howard H. Frey Jr. of Virginia Beach; two sons, David K. Moore and Alfred G. Moore III, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Eileen "Connie" M. Coughlin of Golden, Colo., and Patricia M. Trapani of Norfolk; a brother, Edward T. Moore of Virginia Beach; his stepmother, Lena B. Moore of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Allison and Kelsey Frey of Virginia Beach; and a special friend, Jean Cutrell, of Norfolk. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father John J. Dorgan. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children, 317 Chapel St., Norfolk, Va. 23501 or a charity of the donor's choice.
