NORFOLK - Jeanette T. "Jean" Moore, born Dec. 31, 1932, in Stover, Mo., passed 
away Sunday, June 12, 2011. Jean is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. 
Norman Patrick Moore, and their four children, Dr. Michael P. Moore and his wife 
Patrice, daughter, Kathryn Moore Van Buren and her husband Bill, son, Patrick T. 
Moore and his wife Barbarann, and daughter, Jean M. Moore and her husband Klaus 
Illig. Jean loved her family deeply and was extremely proud of her children and 
surviving eight grandchildren. Jean's wit and compassion for people inspired all 
who knew her. She loved to laugh and talk politics with her family and life-long 
friends, playing bridge and gardening. She was a past president of the Women's 
Auxiliary of the Tidewater Dental Association and a Master Gardener. A memorial 
Mass will be held Friday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 
Norfolk, with Father Daniel Klem officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
donations may be made to The Cancer Care Foundation of Tidewater or another 
charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at
