"Jockey" Moore, 93, of the 2900 block of Lens Ave., a retired assistant weighmaster, died May 22, 1994, in his home. Mr. Moore, a native of Crewe, Va., retired from Norfolk & Western Railway Co. after 52 years of service. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk and the Transportation Communications International Union. Survivors include his wife, Helen A. Moore; a daughter, Dolores Moore Hill of Dover, N.C.; one granddaughter, Jane H. Hartsock; and one great-granddaughter, Mary Helen Hartsock, both of Woodbridge, Va.; three nieces, Alease Perry of Atlanta, Beth Thomason of Mars Hills, N.C., and Pat Edwards of Hartland, Wis.; and two nephews, Oscar Moore of Norfolk and Robert Moore of Eden, N.C. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk, by Father Joseph P. Lehman. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, but Mrs. Moore will remain in her home, 2949 Lens Ave., Norfolk.
