Virginian-Pilot August 24, 1941
Mrs. Eileen Prince Moore, wife of Alfred G. Moore, and daughter of Mrs. 
Elizabeth V. Ryan and the late John T. Prince, died at 1:35 o’clock Saturday 
morning at the residence, 1208 Gates avenue. Mrs. Moore was a native and 
lifelong resident of Norfolk. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by 
four children, Alfred G. Moore, Jr., Edward Tindall Moore, Eileen Conroy Moore 
and Patricia Pringle Moore, all of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. E. A. Rumfelt, 
Mrs. R. K. Ives, Mrs. V. Harrison White, Mrs. S. Raymond Wicks, and Miss Frances 
Ryan, and one brother, James E. Prince, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be 
held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence Sunday 
night at 8 o’clock.
