He was the husband of Mrs. Olive Bazemore Moore and a son of Harry P. and Mrs. Alice McGuire Moore. His father was maritime reporter for The Virginian-Pilot. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 367, Elks Lodge 438, and Izaac Walton League. He also was a member of the Board of Trustees of James Barry Robinson School and a member of the Board of Directors of Ryan Club. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Dr. N. P. Moore; and a daughter, Mrs. Ann M. Bibb, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Robert T. Moore of Mountain View, Calif., and Joseph H. Moore of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Eleanor M. Harnly of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren. The Office of the Dead will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
