Virginian-Pilot November 25 & 26, 1903
Rev. Father Patrick Moore, of the diocese of North Carolina, passed away at St. 
Vincent’s hospital at 2 o’clock a.m. yesterday. Father Moore was 53 years of age 
and had been an invalid for a number of years, the result of a stroke of 
paralysis. For nine years he had been under treatment at St. Vincent’s and used 
a rolling chair in going from one apartment of the hospital to another and was 
familiarly known to all who made frequent visits to the hospital. His last 
illness confined him to his bed for about two weeks. He will be buried at 
Norfolk, but the arrangements for his funeral will be announced later.

The funeral of the Rev. Father Patrick Moore, whose death has been noted in 
these columns, will be solemnized from St. Vincent’s hospital at 10 o’clock this 
morning.
