Virginian-Pilot February 28, 1933
Mrs. Rosa Adelaide Moore, aged 46, wife of Charles Moore, and daughter of the 
late William and Mrs. Maggie Ramsey Gordon, died at 1:33 o’clock yesterday 
morning at a local hospital. She was a native of Charlottesville, and lived in 
Norfolk for 16 years, residing at 623 Maltby avenue, at the time of her death. 
Besides her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. James Gresham, Mrs. 
F. C Howard, Mrs. E. J. McHarg and Mrs. Peter Adams, all of Norfolk; Mrs. 
Charles Laffoone, of Richmond, and Mrs. Richard Wheeler, of Philadelphia, and 
six sons, Leonard, Henry, John, James, Guy and Lee Moore, all of Norfolk. The 
body will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason 
street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 10 
o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
