Virginian Pilot January 20, 1962

SOUTH NORFOLK - Samuel Lee Moran of 2867 Welcome Road, painter employed by E. 
Caligari & Sons, interior decorators, died Thursday in a Richmond hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk area, he was a son of Frank and Mrs. Rebecca 
Moran and the widower of Mrs. Mary Nelson Moran.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca May Ayres of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, 
Ernest Lee Moran of South Norfolk and Melvin L. Moran of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. 
Martha Butler of Norfolk; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Graham Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. by 
the Rev. John R. Carraway, pastor of Arbor Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
