Virginian-Pilot, December 1, 1912
Mrs. Katherine Starr Morehead died at an early hour yesterday morning after a 
brief illness, aged 32 years. She was a native of Norfolk and leaves a host of 
friends in this city, who loved and admired her many beautiful traits of 
character. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
James P. Britt, both of Norfolk; three brothers, Robert L. and Charles E. 
Britt, of Kansas, and two sisters, Miss Agnes E. Britt and Mrs. Bernice Smith, 
both of Norfolk. The funeral will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 3 
p.m. today and will be conducted by Rev. Reuben Meredith. Interment private.
