The Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 18, 1955
Miss Martha Bready Moreland, daughter of the late Richard Rogers and Mrs. Agnes 
Bready Moreland, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 5 a.m. 
yesterday at the residence, 731 Maury Place. She was a member of the First 
Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one brother, J.T. Moreland, of Norfolk. 
Services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at noon by 
the Rev. Edward H. Jones, D.D., pastor, and the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, D.D., 
pastor-emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
