Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, July 8, 1991 
Bessie Morgan, of the 400 block of Malibu Drive, a retired self-employed
real-estate agent, died July 5, 1991, in a nursing home.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Rockingham, N.C. She was a member of Greater
Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Bessie Steward of Virginia Beach; two sons, the
Rev. Jesse Morgan of Washington, D.C. and the Rev. Glenwood Morgan of
Williamsburg; a sister, Jessie Roberts of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Greater Metropolitan A.M.E.
Zion Church by the Rev. Joseph Lamb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Friends may join the
family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
