Virginian PIlot July 8, 1957
Mrs. Emma Jane Morgan, 80, of 135 E. Berkley Ave. died at the Holmes 
Convalescing Home yesterday at 5 p.m. after a long illness.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she had been a resident of this section for the last 
75 years.  She was a daughter of Timothy T. and Margaret Magee Ruggles and the 
widow of Benjamin F. Morgan Sr.  She was a member of Memorial Methodist Church, 
Berkley.
She is survived by two sons, Benjamin F. Morgan Jr. of Richmond and Emmett S. 
Morgan of Norfolk; four daughters, Mrs. W.J. Lewis and Mrs. C.L. Powers of 
Norfolk, Mrs. W.F. Gibboney of Greensboro, N.C. and Mrs. Helen Snead of 
Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. T.J. Ayers of Petersburg; seven grandchildren 
and eight great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where services will be 
conducted tomorrow at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
