Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 16, 1916

Josiah P. Morgan, 75 years old, died at his home, 301 Duke Street, yesterday 
morning. Mr. Morgan was a life long resident of Norfolk and a highly esteemed 
citizen. His wife died about two weeks ago. He was for many years a clerk in the 
clothing house of Burk and Company. He was a consistent member of the First 
Baptist Church. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the 
residence and will be conducted by Rev. John Roach Straton.
