Mrs. Claudia Marie Morring, 52, of 221 E. 26th street, died Thursday, May 14, in 
a Norfolk hospital following a short illness.  Funeral services were held 
Sunday, May 17, at the Church of God in Christ, Bishop D. Lawrence Williams, 
officiating.

A native of Bertie county, NC, Mrs. Morring had lived in Norfolk most of her 
life.  She was a member of the Church of God in Christ, where she was a member 
of usher board No. 1.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Willie Morring;  three daughters, Mrs. Annie 
Tabb, Mrs. Edith Hines and Mrs. Gracie Williams;  and one son, Walter Morring, 
all of Norfolk;  five sisters, Mrs. Luvinia Barrow, Mrs. Emma Robinson, Mrs. 
Roxiania Rollins and Mrs. Alondia Sutton, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Ruth 
Lassiter, of Harrellsville, NC;  and one brother, William Peterson, Edenton, NC.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
