Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday June 21, 1951
Mrs. Helen Maria Scharff Morris, 88, died at the residence of her son-in-law 
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Loeb, 1364 Magnolia Avenue, yesterday 
at 3:45 a.m. after a long illness.  A native of Newark, N.J., she had been a 
resident of Norfolk 60 years.
She was the widow of Robert Henry Morris and a daughter of Wessel and Mrs. 
Mary Caroline Fullerton Scharff.  She was a member of Old St. Paul's 
Episcopal Church.
Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Loeb, are four other daughters, Mrs. Letcher 
V. Marshall, of Suffolk; Mrs. T. Charles White, Jr., Mrs. Stanley K. Joynes 
and Mrs. A.E. Lundquist, of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ida E. Vandemoer and Miss Louise A. 
Scharff, both of Denver, Colo.; and a brother, John Paul Scharff, of 
Chicago.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home today at 1 p.m. 
by the Rev. Moultrie Guerry, rector of Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.

Mrs. Helen Maria Scharff Morris - Funeral services for Mrs. Morris, who died 
Wednesday, were conducted at the Cox Funeral Home yesterday at 1 p.m. by the 
Rev. Moultrie Guerry, rector of Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  
Pallbearers were W.W. Cox, Jr., E.M. Williams, A.O. Raines and C.O. Bell, 
Jr.  Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
