Norfolk - The Rev. Josephine Boykins Morris of 719 Lincoln street, for 15 years 
an evangelist of the Richmond District of the AME Virginia Conference, was given 
a funeral service Thursday at Union Chapel AME Church.  She died Dec. 11 in a 
hospital.

The Rev. J. C. Fauntleroy officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Riddick Funeral Home.

The deceased, a member of Union Chapel, was a native of Wilmington, NC.  She was 
the daughter of Joseph Bland and Mrs. Alice Bland and the wife of the late Rev. 
Bolton Morris.

Her survivors include a daughter, Miss Mary Alice Boykins of New York;  three 
sons, Reginald Boykins of Washington, Lawrence and Jude Boykins of Norfolk;  
five grandchildren and one great-grandchild;  also two daughters-in-law, Mrs. 
Odell Boykins of Washington and Mrs. Mary Frances Boykins of Norfolk.
