Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, October 22, 1992 
Mattie Morris of the 2400 block of Courtney St., a retired clerk, died Oct. 19,
1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Morris was born in Philadelphia. She had retired from Tinee Giant Store,
Colonial Ave., after 20 years. She was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine E. Morris of Philadelphia; six
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Saturday in St. John's A.M.E. Church by
the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from
2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church
at 11 a.m. Saturday. Friends may join the family at the residence.
