Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jul 18,1970

Norfolk - Last rites were given Sam L. Morris of 722 Thoyer street who died 
July 9 in a local hospital, in Hale Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. J. L. Kearney 
officiated.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Littleton, NC, he was a son of Mrs. Annie Morris and the late 
Joseph Morris Sr. and the wife of Mrs. Evelyn L. Morris.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Samuel and Terry Morris of Norfolk;  
a daughter, Miss Felicia Morris of Norfolk;  two brothers, Joseph and Ezell 
Morris, both of Norfolk;  and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Richardson of Norfolk.
