Norfolk - Mrs. Effie Morris of 1465 Proescher street died in a hospital.

A native of Lawrenceville, she ws the wife of Walter Morris and a daughter of 
the late Jeff Owens and Mrs. Cornelius Butts.

She was co-manager of Regal’s Shoe Shop and a member of Second Calvary Baptist 
Church.

Besides her husband, surviving is a brother, Jesse Owens of Emporia.

Services were held in Second Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. H. W. B. Walker.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
