The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 9, 1947
Mrs. Carrie Wright Morris, 80, widow of Claud P. Morris, Sr., died at her 
residence, 620 Delaware Avenue, Friday at 11:50 p.m. She is survived by a 
daughter, Miss Mary Helen Morris, of Norfolk; a son, Claud P. Morris, Jr., of 
Hertford, N.C.; three grandchildren, Mrs. W.L. Jessup and Miss Mary Morris, 
both of Hertford, and Robert W. Morris, of Kinston, N.C. Mrs. Morris was a 
native of Richmond and had been a resident of Norfolk most of her life. She was 
a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
