Mrs. Ellen Morris, died July 26 at her residence, 1819 E. Liberty street, South 
Norfolk. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 28, at New Mt. Zion AME Church 
in Bolling Brook, with the Rev. Falley officiating.

Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Burman, and wife of 
the late Louis Morris. She is survived by two sons, Tommy and John Lewis Morris; 
two daughters, Mrs. Rosena Bray and Mrs. Lee Esther Marks; grandchildren, Mrs. 
Helen Parker, Mrs. Elsie White, Randolph Morris, John Lewis Morris, Mrs. Lee 
Ethel Hannat, Mrs. Rosena Fentress, Mrs. Cloateen English, Edward Whitehurst, 
and Mrs. Bernice Clemms, and other relatives.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Fitchetts Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
