NORFOLK - John Patrick Morris Sr., 57, of 7036 Adele Drive died Saturday in a 
Norfolk hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Clara Wright Morris and was a 
native of New York City.
He was retired after 32 years as a Navy Commander and was a member of St. Pius X 
Roman Catholic Church.
He was the stepson of Mrs. Grace S. Morris. Other survivors include two 
daughters, Mrs. Patricia Morris Cody of Orange, Calif., and Miss Susan B. Morris 
of Fayetteville, Ark.; four sons, John Patrick Morris, Richard Paul Morris, and 
Robert Thomas Morris, all of Norfolk, and Michael Stephen Mor¬ris of Richmond; 
and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A rosary will be said today at 7 p.m. in 
Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
