Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, June 26, 2012     
Norfolk - Elizabeth "Betty" O. Morris, 93, went to live with the Lord on June 
24, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, growing up on Raleigh Ave. in 
a house her grandfather built. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist 
Church. Betty was truly a gentle soul who sincerely loved her family and 
friends. Waiting for her in heaven will be her lifelong friends with a big bowl 
of chocolate ice cream. She is predeceased by her parents, John Latham and 
Elizabeth Saunders; her grandmother, Margaret Lelia; sister, Peggy Blackman; 
and daughter, Sherry Elizabeth. Left to remember her always are her daughter, 
Margaret "Margie" Cropper and her husband, Larry; and grandson, Robbie and his 
fiancé', Andrea. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 
28, 2012 at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be 
made to the Alzheimer's' Association. The family would like to thank the nurses 
at Heartland Hospice for their kindness and support, Loretta Beard and Ruth 
Askew, who took care of her before her move to Sentara Village and a very 
special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sentara Village Norfolk, who went 
beyond their duties to take care of our loved one.
