The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday April 21, 1938
William W. Morrisett, aged 77, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 
6:50 o'clock after an illness of one year.  He was a native of Tyrrell County, 
N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 60 years.  Mr. Morrisett had been 
engineer in charge of the National Bank of Commerce Building for a number of 
years.  He is survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. J.D. Chapman, Norfolk, and 
William A. and Edgar R. Morrisett, of Newport News.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 
631 Westover avenue, at Manteo, Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.  Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
