Virginian Pilot March 12, 1904

James Garland, son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Morrisette, died at the home of his 
parents, No. 132 North Reservoir Avenue, at 3:55 o'clock Thursday afternoon, in 
the 5th year of his age.  The funeral will take place from the residence of his 
parents at 11 o'clock this morning.

The funeral of J. Garland Morrisette was held from the residence of his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. James W. Morrisette, No. 132 North Reservoir Avenue, Brambleton, at 
11 o'clock a.m. yesterday.  The service was conducted by the Rev. E.E. Harrell, 
pastor of Trinity M.E. Church, assisted by the Rev. George Wesley Jones, of Park 
Place M.E. Church.  The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.  Following were the 
pallbearers: Malvia Blassingham, Otto McLean, Lankford Sanderlin, Charlie 
Etheridge, Vernon Coventer and Eddie Etheridge.   The floral tributes were very 
handsome.
