The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday Feb. 26, 1944
Mrs. Mary Kight Morrisette, 66, wife of Joseph E. Morrisette and daughter of 
the late T.B. and Mrs. Margaret Jarvis Kight, a native of Currituck County, 
N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for the past 60 years, died at the residence, 
235 Thirty-fourth street, yesterday after afternoon at 5:40 o'clock. Mrs 
Morrisette was a member of the Christian Temple. Besides her husband, Joseph E. 
Morrisette, she is survived by three sons, Joseph E. Morrisette, Jr., of 
Norfolk; Francis K. Morrisette, of Birmingham, Ala., and Robert C. Morrisette, 
U.S. Merchant Marine; a sister, Mrs. Lillie K. Kelley, of Norfolk; a brother, 
Dr. Rufus S. Kight of Norfolk; three granddaughters and a grandson. 
The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, pending arrangements.
