A native of Norfolk County, he was the husband of Mrs. Annie Capehart Morrison and a son of John Robert and Mrs. Nannie Bernard Morrison. He was a charter member, deacon emeritus, and Sunday school superintendent more than 30 years of Rosemont Christian Church. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles L. Richardson and Mrs. Blanche M. Williams; two sons, Hamilton R. Morrison Jr. and William C. Morrison; and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Herbert, all of Chesapeake; two brothers, Thomas O. Morrison of North Bennington, Vt. and Albert S. Morrison of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Rosemont Christian Church by the Rev. Richard Prince and Dr. H.S. Hardcastle, retired Christian minister. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk, with Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, Chesapeake, in charge.
