He was a native of New Bern, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for 40 years prior to going to Florida 15 years ago. He was the son of Edward Morse and Mrs. Julia Morse Whitmore. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Nina Russell Morse, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy L. Dunning, of Tampa; one half-sister, Mrs. H. G. Barbee, Norfolk; a half-brother, B.F. Whitmore, Eustis, Fla., and two grandchildren. The body will arrive in Norfolk tomorrow morning and will be taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 Westover Avenue, pending completion of funeral arrangements. Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday September 19, 1936 Charles Otis Morse-The body of Mr. Morse, whose death occurred at his home in Tampa, Fla., last Saturday, will be taken to from the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 Westover Avenue, at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon to Elmwood Cemetery for services and interment. The Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, of Central Baptist Church, will officiate. Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday September 20, 1936 Charles Otis Morse-The body of Mr. Morse, whose death occurred in Tampa, Fla., last Saturday, was taken from the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., to Elmwood Cemetery yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock for funeral services and interment. The Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiated. The casket was covered with sprays of pink and lavender dahlias and ferns. Pallbearers were Eugene Bonnivelle, Shelton N. Woodard, Capt. H.G. Munden, A.B. Bell, Edward Morse and John Keefe.
