Morse, a well-known and most estimable citizen, died last evening at his home, No. 119 Holt Street, aged 63 years. He was a native of Virginia and lived in Norfolk for 32 years. He was among the purest and best men in the community, genial, kind and true and his demise will be regretted by a large circle of friends. He is survived by two sons, K.J. Morse of Norfolk and Herman G. Morse of Cuba, and a daughter, Miss Laura V. Morse of this city. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 32 I.O. Odd Fellows. Religiously he was a devout Christian Scientist, being an active member of the church of that denomination here. The funeral occurs at 4 p.m. tomorrow from his late residence, Miss Hattie P. Williams, First Reader of the Christian Science Church, officiating. Interment in Elmwood.
