Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 2, 1945

Mrs. Nellie Parker Morton, 64, widow of Joseph Nicholas Morton, Sr. and daughter 
of the late Charles G. and Mrs. Laura Lee Kilgro Parker, a native of Washington, 
D.C. and a resident of Norfolk for the past 55 years, died at 7:40 a.m. 
yesterday at the residence, 656 May Avenue. She is survived by one daughter, 
Mrs. Henry L. Foiles, three sons, Joseph Nicholas Morton, Jr., Charles M. Morton 
and Nicholas Morton, all of Norfolk, nine grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. 
John R. Barnes, Sr., of Craddock, Mrs. Elmer Johnson, of Norfolk and Mrs. Joseph 
Goodwin, of Great Bridge, two brothers, Charles E. and William Parker, of 
Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
tonight at 7:30 o'clock.
