Sidney James Moseley, Jr., of Norfolk, Negro Army flier who was injured fatally in a place crash Monday, at funeral services here yesterday afternoon. A son of Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Moseley, of 1518 Forty-second street, he was engaged in a routine training flight in the vicinity of his home field, Tuskegee Army Airfield, Ala., when he met his death. Lieutenant Moseley, 25, was graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School, and then studied in St. Paul Polytechnic Institute, Lawrenceville. He received his commission and silver wings April 29. A guard of honor from Camp Hill, Newport News, attended the services, conducted in the Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev. C.D. Ellis, pastor, was assisted by Archdeacon B.W. Harris, of the Diocese of Southern Virginia; the Rev. Jasper Freeman, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, and a white Army chaplain, Capt. Fred H. Heather, from Camp Hill.
