                Death Claims Mrs. Josephine Tucker Moseley

NORFOLK - Mrs. Josephine Tucker Moseley, a well known resident of this city, 
died at her residence, 830 Lexington Street, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. She was the 
youngest and last survivor of her parents, the late Rev. Lewis and Elizabeth 
Hunter Tucker.
Mrs. Tucker was educated in the public schools of this city and attended Norfolk 
Mission College. While there she was a member of the College Singers. Until her 
failing health she was an active church worker and at one time a choir member of 
her chosen church. Her marriage to Robert Grant Moseley, who survives her, was 
blessed with six daughters, all of whom survive.

FUNERAL RITES
Impressive funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. Richard B. Martin at Grace 
Protestant Episcopal Church of which the deceased was a member Sunday, Oct 20, 
at 12:45 p.m.
Pallbearers for the occasion were Harold S. Davenport, Charles S. Ferebee, 
George S. Collins, Joseph S. Hall, Tom W. Stancil and H.C. Young. Beautiful and 
numerous were the autumn floral designs, attesting to the love and esteem in 
which the deceased was held by both youthful and elderly friends of the city.

THE SURVIVORS
Besides the husband the six daughters surviving are Bessie M. Wolfe, 
Pleasantville, N.J.; Mabel Roscoe, Alexandria, Va.; Gladys Whitfield and 
Josephine Moseley, Norfolk; Roberta Lucas, Jamaica, N.Y.; and Marguerite Waites 
of New York City; three grandsons and several other relatives.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with the King Funeral Home in charge.
