She was visiting a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Moseley Brodie, in Yeadon PA. A native of Williamsburg, she was the widow of Ernest H. Moseley and a daughter of Edward and Mrs. Virginia Canaday. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and held most offices in its Missionary Society and church organizations. She also had been on the YMCA Board and other civic and social clubs. She was one of the founders of the junior college which later became Norfolk State College and a charter member of Charlina Jewels of United Order of Tents. She was a graduate of Norfolk Mission College and taught in Portsmouth schools a year, after which she was married. Besides Mrs. Brodie, surviving are a son, Wendell T. Moseley, and a sister, Mrs. Louise C. Mitchell, both of Norfolk; a niece, Mrs. Jean Canaday McClelland of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. A funeral service was held April 6 in First United Presbyterian Church by the Rev. O. J. Wynn. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
