Mott, aged 69, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 8:15 o'clock after a long illness. He was a native of Norfolk and had resided here all his life and was in the employ of the city for a number of years. He held membership in Massasoit Tribe No. 77, Supreme Order of Red Men; Friendship Council, Jr. O.U.A.M., and Atlantic Lodge No. 51, I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. The Rev. P. Rowland Wagner and the Rev. R.B. Grinnan will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. *************************************************** George W. Mott - Funeral services for Mr. Mott were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road and were largely attended. The Rev. R. B. Grinnan and the Rev. P. Rowland Wagner officiated. During the services Mrs. Archie Johnson sang "Prayer of the Soul's Desire," accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Florence D. Smith and James Y. Old sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," with Mrs. F. M. Ambrose as accompanist. There were many floral offerings. Pallbearers were T.J. Munden, G.L. Loder, S.H. Forrest, W.L. Curfman, T.J. Pargoe amd A.L. Detmer. Delegations from the various lodges of which the deceased was a member attended and conducted the services at the grave. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
