The Virginian Pilot Tuesday August 21, 1962
Miss Johanna C. Mottu, 67, of 623 Fairfax Ave., daughter of J.P. Andre and Mrs. 
Mary Carter Poindexter Mottu, died at 12:10 p.m. Monday in a Norfolk hospital.
Miss Mottu, former WTAR receptionist, was a native of Norfolk County and a 
lifelong resident of this area.  She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church and of the Norfolk Symphony Orchestra.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Carter Braxton Burnet and a nephew, 
Carter Braxton Burnet Jr.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Selden Chapel, 
Christ and St. Luke Church, for a funeral service Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.  
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends are requested by the family to 
omit flowers.  The family will be at 623 Fairfax Avenue, Apt. 1.
