Virginian-Pilot  August 25, 1938
Mrs. Delia Melvin Moyer, age 62 years, widow of John Henry Moyer, a native of 
Ireland and, for the past 40 years, a resident of Norfolk, died at 1:30 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the residence, 215 Hough avenue. Surviving her are four sons, 
J. P., Walter C., William C. and James F. Moyer, all of Norfolk, one brother, 
James Melvin, of Ireland, two sisters, Mrs. John P. Walsh, of Philadelphia, Pa., 
and Mrs. Harry Stowe, of Bridgeport, Pa., and two grandchildren, Patricia Lee and 
Rhoda Marie Moyer, of Atlanta, Ga.
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 10 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
