He was about 50 years of age and was well known in both Norfolk and Portsmouth. His death was the result of a complication of diseases, and his last sickness was only of a few weeks. Deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn their loss. He was highly social and generous to a fault all through life and few men were more esteemed for his many good qualities of head and heart than Jim Mulholland. Peace to his ashes. The funeral of our well-known townsman, Mr. James Mulholland, took place at 10 o’clock yesterday morning from St. Paul’s Catholic Church and was very largely attended. Rev. Father Brady conducted the services and the remains were followed to their last resting place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Norfolk. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Charles Syer, D. Sullivan, P. H. Holden, R. E. Glassett, M. Glennan, John J. Moloney, William Hart and D. Brennan.
